I'm a mother of four. I work retail as part of a management team. 

I started sewing when I was about 12 years old, my Godmother has shown me just about everything I know about sewing and fabrics. When my oldest son, who is now 14 years old, was a baby I discovered that I wanted to make the things he needed, like bibs and receivng blankets and bedding for him, but that I also wanted to make them better than store bought items. 

Some of you may wonder where I get my inspiration. A lot of it comes from my children. Sebastien (14), Sabrina (12), Julia AKA Jube Jube (2), and my newest source of inspiration is 3 1/2 month Amelia. 

 When designing and choosing fabrics I like going with fun trendy prints and colours, but most importantly the fabrics must be easy to wash. I also like to make things oversized like my receiving blanket, towels and bibs. I feel that if I'm going to spend money on something I want it to last for more than just a few months. My favorite is custum bedding. I love working with a client to achieve the look they want to get. Adding special details that you wont find in a big box store bedding is something I love doing.

Baby Fables has built quite the name for themselves on etsy for making monthly onesie stickers, waterproof labels and iron ons.
I know she is hoping to expand her business and find a few more local customers (and of course some that are not so local as well).

I was given some of the waterproof labels and purchased some iron on birthday appliques to test out.

Iron Ons

Baby Fables so was accommodating with my custom requests I placed for the iron ons. I had seen a rocket in one of their other items but it was a completely different colour and design. I described what I was looking for an they were able to make what I wanted. I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

The iron ons came with great instructions to make it really easy to apply to the t-shirts. I followed the instructions step-by-step and the t-shirts turned out wonderfully.

I could not be happier with how awesome this t-shirt turned out!
It is going to make for one very happy little girl on her first birthday.
The iron ons are very well printed. The colours are vibrant and the details in the designs are flawless.



Waterproof Stickers

 I tested out the waterproof labels by Baby Fables as well.
And once again I have nothing but great things to say about this product.
I put one on our high chair tray, some sippy cups, my diaper bag as well as on the tag of a cloth diaper.
The high chair tray and sippy cups have been through the dishwasher many many times and they still look like new! The diaper bag is something that is always getting thrown and tossed around and the name tag on it is still as good as new as well. And finally the cloth diaper that I "tagged" has been through the wash a bunch of time and guess what? Still looks great!
I am amazed by how well these name tags work and so excited. I will definitely be "tagging" several of my sons items before he goes off to daycare.


Onesie Stickers
If I had discovered Baby Fables before my son was born I would have been all over these onesie stickers. They are the most adorable things I have ever seen.

Just a quick little review on Pure Jewel Designs. Pure Jewel Designs creates custom hand stamped jewellery. 

I was lucky enough to pick this adorable bird pendant up in a Facebook auction we hosted on our page. I have received so many compliments on this cute pendant. It is well made and the chain is a great quality piece as well.

Pure Jewel Designs has lots of options to browse through on their facebook page and they are all very reasonably priced.

I would recommend highly them to anyone who is in the market for some new jewellery.

And to top it all off the packaging for the necklace looks great and shipping was super speedy.

My little man wore one of Sarita Baby's custom ties to a wedding recently and it was perfect! He received so many compliments through out the day.

Sarita Baby offers custom ties in your choice of material and size. I picked the black and white damask material to fit a 10 month old. The fabric was beautiful and the sizing was absolutely perfect.

The tie is very well made and the velcro closure makes it easy to put on (my husband is almost 30 and still hasn't mastered tying a tie so I think he was a little jealous =).
The tie stayed on well and looked great for the entire day.

I will definitely be a repeat custom of Sarita Baby.
